1Cat/4 Launch 1 | 4/2/22
1Cat/4 finally made a successful flight at FAR this Saturday. Besides testing the feasibility of a purely heatsink combustion chamber - which performed flawlessly - this launch also tested our ability to design an engine and rocket based solely on a HalfCatSim prediction, without first conducting a static test.
2Cat/3 Hot fire 1 - 11/30/21
Tuesday saw a successful static hot fire of 2Cat/3. The engine produced approximately 348 lbf peak thrust, extremely close to its prediction of 350, with a burn time around six seconds. This gives it a classification of M916.
1CAt/3 Hot fire 1 - 11/20/21
1Cat/3 ignited for its first hot fire test, and the first firing since the Half Cat launches in August. It produced a thrust of approximately 110 lbf for one second. With this short duration complete, the propellant tanks will be extended to attempt a much longer firing time.
